What is meant by font?
A font is a set of printable text characters in a specific style and size. In a document, different types of fonts are used and all these have different features ( means their style, weight and sizes are different ).

What are Sans-Serif fonts?
Sans-serif fonts are fonts that do not have serifs on the ends of their letter forms. These fonts are mostly used by graphic designers, because these fonts are modern. Sans- serif fonts are also famous for their legibility. The main feature that make this font special and different from other fonts is it’s clear and orderly arrangement. For example: Some famous sans serif fonts are Arial, Helvetica, Proxima, Nova, Futura, and Calibri. There are different types of sans-serif fonts, some of these are described below:
Grotesque:
Grotesque sans-serif font’s upper case letters are uniform in appearance. Franklin Gothic ( which have extra bold design ) is an example of a grotesque sans-serif font.
Neo-grotesque:
Neo-grotesque sans-serif fonts provide simple and clear appearance. These fonts have fewer strokes. Arial is a Neo-grotesque font that has fewer strokes than standard serif font. Helvetica is also a font that has tight spacing between the characters.
Geometric:
In geometric fonts letters have geometric shapes and look more stylish and modern. Futura is an example of a geometric sans-serif font with letter forms that have more weight. Avant – Garde Gothic is another example of a geometric font family.
Humanist:
Humanist sans-serif fonts have thick and thin strokes. This font has large spacing between letters. This font is easier to read in a small size while some other fonts are difficult to read. Verdana is an example of humanist sans-serif fonts.
There are many sans serif fonts but you should use them wisely.
What is meant by commercial font???
Commercial fonts are licensed for any project where financial gain is the ultimate goal. Many commercial fonts are free to use, means you can use them without any license. If you want to check that the required font is used as commercial font or not then you should go to the google and type the name of the font with the word “typespace”. Then the google will show you that it is free or have some charges to use. Some of the fonts are free for commercial use, using them in templates means that the client doesn’t need to purchase a license to use them. They can simply go to the website and install their own copy to their computer.
