Missouri is rich in history and therefore has several museums for you history geeks to choose from. Whether it’s Mark Twain’s boyhood home or the Nelson Atkins Art Museum. There’s so much history in Missouri it would be a shame to not visit some museums and learn more about the great state. If you prefer battlefields for your history you can check out Wilson’s Creek National Battlefield where On August 10, 1861, about 5,400 Union soldiers and 11,000 Confederates clashed at Wilson’s Creek National Battlefield. War Historians /enthusiasts should also check out and pay their respects at the National World War I Museum and Memorial.
